1942 Pickup Pics and Progress

Everyone likes photos right!! Well, I am going to make this my progress thread of my projects. I recently acquired in April 2015 a 1/2 ton 1942 Hudson Pickup and a 1942 Hudson either Six or Six Deluxe that was hacked into a custom pickup!! Here starts the mad slow dash of finding parts!

The Plan: Restore pickup to as original to 1942 as possible. The blue 42 will be parts, if salvageable, will complete the 42 pickup look. I am not a mechanic, just a Hudson fan. This will be a learning experience with a huge learning curve.

Research: The black pickup was acquired already having what appears to be green 41 front fenders, doors and bumper all from the same 41 Hudson possibly commodore with running boards. Missing grille, grille support, radiator, air cleaner.

Looking For:
1942 front fenders for running board models
1942 doors for running board models
1942 lower hood moulding with Hudson logo
1942 grille support
1942 grille louvers (have a contact for these)
Air Cleaner

If anyone reading this has any info on 1942 parts, I will gladly try any leads that you may have. Finances are slow but steady, so some parts I am looking for may take time for me to save up to get. I have gotten a few small parts, just trying to put my feelers out for the harder to find items.

I have made a lot of connections already, and I cannot believe the "family" that surrounds the Hudson community. I am glad to be part of this family and cannot wait to get my dream going!
