Needles and stepper motors installed.  Connected to my control board running a simple sweep program.

Making me rethink my gauges for my car.
    It has a great look.
    Any time line on availability?

Thanks! I don't really have a time-line... Get bits done as I can. But when I get mine done and work whatever kinks out that come up I would be happy to do these for those interested.

You can put me on your list, please.
  • A friend of mine etches glass with Talc in his Clemco Zero blast cabinet.  The results are phenomenal,

Thanks for sharing, I didnt think you could etch glass with a laser

Ken, the fuel gauge will be combined with the tach that replaces the clock.

Chris, the engraver did do some finish work by hand with a his media blaster.  Evened out the texture.

Love this, put me on your list as well. Really like the tach idea.

    SuperDave-

See above.  GrimGreaser said it would be integrated into the tach that replaces the clock.

Thanks  With the pictures loading up and down the screen.. I missed that.

Looks like a great idea to me. But alas, I don't have a 51-53 Hudson. I had given some thought to installing gauges in the drivers side glove box lid on my "Clabbered Up" 49 to put some gauges in front of the driver.

My plans for the Tach and Fuel gauge.  If I could find a source for concentric-dual movement stepper motors I would have it laid out just like the clock, with the 'hour-hand' the pointer for the fuel.image
