hydraulic lifters for the '56 308
I've posted this before and am wondering if any more news has become available. Locating "new" (NOS) hydraulic lifters for my '54 Hornet with '56 308 continues. I am almost certain no one makes them anymore. There are aftermarket plunger style lifters made for Packard and Cadillac, but that's it. Neither fits Hudson 308. Chrysler used these in early 331 hemi's but apparently quickly changed to the newer style barrel style. Rumors persist that these are the same as Hudson but I'm not sure.

Mizpah Precision rebuilt the set that came out of my '56 motor. Cleaned them up and reground the faces. Will report when they go in the engine. About $45 for a bakers dozen of lifters.

I have a NOS set from a unfired crate motor that I am going to take out to sell. Going to put solid lifters in there. Will be a little bit before I can get to it0
