Outstanding article and generally agrees with the opinions of a noted chemist friend of mine who coached me on a problem I had with our '47 212.

Bottom line: None of them last forever. Pressurization, recovery system (keep the O2 out as much as possible) and vigilance regarding coolant condition are your best allies.
