I'm in the market for one of these nifty little rides and am wondering what they typically go for...
I saw one end last week on ebay that didn't run for 4K and have bumped into another non runner on craigs list for 4k. There was yet another listed on craigs list for 8k that was very nice but had been in storage for 8 years. There was also another here on the classifieds for around 5k. Are these in the sweet spot? I'm having suck a hard time finding any completed sales... must be because they didn't make many!

FYI
Suggest go to a local Book Store then look in the Old Cars Price Guide Magazine for current pricing. My fe month old Issue shows $8 - $12,000 Average depending on condition....(The Magazine prices are just a rough starting point )

I've seen some pretty nice appearing Jets (according to pictures) in they say running condition go for around 6,000.00 to 8,000.00. It goes back to what you are willing to pay for a given car and what the seller is willing to accept..

Thanks guys...
I never had much faith in price guides... always preferred to see real sales data instead. I'll keep on the lookout for completed sales and go from there.
Cheers!

Ebay, Craig's list, ect., are not a very good indicator for prices on these old cars. The best way is to determine what kind of car you want to buy and pick a reasonable budget to spend and then start looking at them in person. You might drive a nice Jet and find it looks ok but drives like an old unrestored rust bucket. A car that is original and in nice shape drives better than most restored cars (a ton of difference in restorations). Check out some listings and then go out and drive them. Work out a price and then buy it and drive it forever.0

G'day
Can I recommend that you join a Hudson club and get known around the club that you're interested. Having 20 or 100 members on the lookout will assist you in putting forward a car suitable for your budget plus the added bonus that members really love to tire kick cars popping up. It took me a year looking daily for a 1930's car by myself on the car sales website and was first looking at buicks which I would email to and ask advise from Buick members and was steered clear with warnings on either price or what they thought was wrong with it. I was really lucky when a terraplane hit me side on and I was hooked with the price and depth of knowledge the club member gave me to make me feel comfortable going ahead with the purchase. I love my car and 3 years later still love it. Keep your money in your pocket till the right car comes along - it might be a completely different make or model - you need to be glad of it not disappointed every time you look at it - there are heaps of cars out there not settle for second best but keep dreaming and look, look and look - a happy purchase lasts a life time
Wish you luck cheers ken0
