New to forum - 1928 Hudson Valve Springs

Hello I'm new to the forum and HET Club.  I recently bought a 1928 Hudson Model O 4 door sedan as a regular driver.  It runs ok but had valve noise.  After inspection to adjust lash I discovered two intake and one exhaust valve springs broken.  The exhaust one isn't terrible and could live with it for a short while, but I'm not willing to take a chance with the overhead intakes for fear of dropping a valve.  Can anyone give any feedback as to the best place to find some new or used springs or even if any other springs may be compatible?  I bought some items from Wildrick Restorations a few weeks ago; I was going to give him a call in the beginning of the week.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to the Forum!

By the way, as an H-E-T member you have complete free "run" of the H-E-T website   http://www.hetclub.org
but you will have to register there in order to have use of all the bells and whistles.

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than I will come along and answer your question.  I would not be surprised if someone has discovered a cache of the original springs, or knows of an acceptable (and more plentiful) modern substitute.

Meanwhile, are you aware of the Super Six Yahoo Group?  This is a bunch of hard-bitten owners of 1916-29 Hudson sixes, who hang out together on the Internet.  Since there's a much more concentrated bunch of hard-bitten 1920's enthusiasts there, you might get your answer quicker:    https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/HudsonSuperSix16-29/info
