    The 1933 Essex-Terraplane 8 had the highest horsepower to weight ratio of any production car ON THE PLANET.  That is correct.  No car in the world could out accelerate the 1933 ET8.   Every Hudson enthusiast ought to know that.   By the end of the 1933 racing year, the AAA record book with 72 records in it was ENTIRELY filled by Essex-Terraplane sixes and eights.   NO OTHER car brand was in the list.   Surely the list has been published in club publications some time since 1959, right?
