There are companies, for a small fee, that will take care of all paperwork to get you a new title with all the proper information on it. That is what I did years ago when I bought a 34 Chevy from someone that said he had the title but I never got it. That is better than buying a title that will not match SN # on the car you have which may get you into more trouble than you bargained for.

There is a company in Maine that will do this for you. I have used them without problems. I don't have the name at the moment, but if you pm me I will have it.
