Hi, where can I get information on front disc conversion for my 48 comadore 8. And has anyone converted a clutch to a dry friction type? Mine is frozen and before I try to cut it apart would like to know about options thanks.

FYI
Matt Faust sells a Disc Brake conversion Kit. He will probably chime in...The flywheel is really too thin for a dry clutch. Its been done (by me and others) for racing but wont work well on the street. The old way was too adapt an early Ford flywheel & clutch assy, but today there are adaptors made to use a 4 or 6 spd Trans The Hudson clutch is ideal for a stock Hudson and a couple HET Members rebuild the Wet clutch to better than original....

I have a 49 Commodore 8 and love the original rebuilt clutch. You would be much better off to replace the clutch with the original setup. You are not the first guy to think along those lines May cost a little more $ but way less headaches. For one thing..The flywheel is too thin to handle the heat from a conventional clutch...Consider that Rolls Royce used the same setup as Hudson! Doug Wildrick is one fellow member that has what you need and will give you some very good advice along the way . Ron Fellows is another.
Good luck!
