Electric fan conversion on 1947 Hudson

I have completed the fan installation. It cools great.
The attached pictures explain how it was done, and also cover the installation of the Ford Taurus alternator. (starter was rewired for 12 volt and is the only thing that would need extra work if someone wanted to go back to 6 volt.) The BMW fan has lots of blades and moves a lot of air. The only thing that would make it better is if there was a way to control the low and high speed feature at something like 180 & 190 degrees vs the much hotter temperatures that are run by cars that use two speed fans. (I have it wired only to high speed.)
Most of the "expensive" parts came from Pick-N-Pull, so not expensive.

Thanks for sharing. You will find (if you haven't already) that the electric fan will only come on when you are stuck in traffic on hot days, and it will pump way more air through your radiator than the waterpump fan ever did.You can safely dispense with the waterpump fan, they were only ever there for slow traffic conditions. Above 10mph they are/were superfluous, they just make noise and consume horsepower.0

FYI
Nice Job
Be sure to wire thru a relay if you havent already and block any holes so all air flow goes thru the radiator, not above or around.
