Is this a Terraplane, right-hand drive, in the UK?

Looks a bit like a straight-8 engine in there.  This was an oval track car racing nin the n1950's.  I know there were a few Terraplanes in the UK.

Any guesses if it is a Hudson?

Definitely not a Terraplane, nor a Hudosn engine in  it.

You are right, it is no Hudson ----  but what beautiful machines are the Terraplane Coupes anyway :-)

I think it is a 1930 Dodge Business Coupe, whose mouldings and vent match those in my very poor photograph:
