If you tried to get on in the 10 hours, my apologies
We had a update go a little wrong. Turns out we did about half the update and the other half didn't happen. Turns out I had to reload all the files twice, then figured out that the update utility for the database didn't run. Then I figured out that some of the things I thought were helping had to be undone. At the end fo the day we are back up and running. Although I cant seem to get the debug function to stop working on my version. Let me know if you are seeing it too or if it is just persisting on my computer. Anyway sorry for the downtime.
I guess should have fed the gerbils that spin the wheels that keeps the lights on.

Everything seems back to normal, Aaron, save for the bizarre "smileys" (more like frownies) that greet me in every color under the sun, on the "recent discussions" page. They seem to have taken the place of folks' normal automotive avatars.

I found out that we had the debugger plugin turned on. So that is gone.
Not sure why the break code is showing up "<br>". Still trying to clean stuff up.0 -
I figured out the <br> problem. It is fixed. Lets see what else is broken!!0

All is OK on my side but I won't be able to sleep because a lot of aliens are looking at me...
But thanks Aaron for all the well done job! Michel0 -
Is there a way to remove those terrible emoji's? I can't stand the look. Is it something I need to do or is this still a problem with the upgrade?
Thanks,

Aaron, a guy who spends as much time as you do on keeping this FREE forum functioning at minimal cost to HET has to apologise to no one.0

Isn't THAT the truth!0

Aaron, and everyone else I was not intending to insult anyone by asking about the emoji's; it was simply a question. I also appreciate the work that is done to keep this invaluable forum working. I apologize if my question was insulting or thoughtless; it was not meant to be.

Thanks,
And, they're gone...
You'll notice they did not 'replace' the avatar for anyone who had 'posted' a personal picture to their account. They just 'filled the blank' (empty space). Truthfully - and as you state, I would rather have the empty space than them...0
