1940 rear shocks
Can anyone tell me what shocks I should use in the rear for the 1940? I went online to NAPA and they list two (2) different sets. The first are regular duty and they cost $25.00 each. The second set is heavy duty and they cost $228.00 for the set.

I use Monroe # MA727 for the rear on a '53 stepdown. These are PUMP-UP shocks with a tire valve that you raise or lower the car. You can check this application for your car by calling Monroe @ 734-384-7809.
$54.00 for 2 shocks and all piping etc. at Amazon but double check application by calling that number FIRST. Free shipping with 'Prime'Sorry can't post photo--something has happened to this site for photo posting. Go to HET club site and type in Monroe in the search and you will find a photo I posted last year.
