A 1939 "112" rear axle has been advertised in the local Craigslist. He's asking $300. Was removed from a running car, in favor of a more modern rear end. Here is a link to the Craigslist ad: http://smd.craigslist.org/pts/5294345070.html The e-mail address is rhpt2-5294345070@sale.craigslist.org .

I'd say it has value, though I'm guessing that $250 might be a bit hopeful. Do you know the gear ratio? (If it's a truck ratio, probably not much value.)
Have you advertised this in the WTN? In my opinion, there are probably a lot more people reading that, than are hanging around here!
We'll be glad to run it in our local (Chesapeake Bay Chapter) newsletter if you like. No charge, of course.

I have not advertised it in the WTN, will try that.#1 goal is it doesnt go to a junk yard. The rest is beer money.I will get check gear ratio and brakes (assume rebuilt). Thanks for the advice and help.0
