I have followed the suggested way to post from the forum help pages however I do not see the "attach photo"which is supposed to be above the post discussion box?

Fixed it for you...    With the 'Attach a file', the photo(s) should be on your PC. 

If you are using a photo already on the internet, you should use the WYSIWYG bar (Insert Image), and put in the path to the photo (like I did for you, above).
