I have a1950 232 ci 6 cylinder with standard bore and original STD piston & purchased a set of NOS pinned rings from Dale Cooper, but when checking end gap on rings in cylinder, I have .040 +/- gap instead of the .006 - .014 as called out in service manual, Has anyone else run into this problem and if so, What was the solution.
My initial thought would be to get a set of .010 rings and then file ring to the correct .006 - .014. Suggestions or comments anyone
Thanks

FYI
Make sure the Cyl's are not worn by using an internal Micrometer then measure a few different locations....
