Mounting a 35 body shell onto the chassis
How did Hudson mount the 35 bodies onto the chassis? Did they sit down pretty well flat onto the chassis with maybe a piece of webbing as a packer? Or did the body sit up a little on rubber mounts or similar, if so how high did the body sit off the chassis?
Having the shell mounted at the right height off the chassis will help with getting the front panels properly aligned.

Body webbing was used which is a generic term for the roll of material offered by numerous hobby hardware supply companies like Restoration Specialties. Applied on the outer frame rails from the cowl back. Not the X member nor the cross members. Simply took some of the potential away from squeaking. And something like 32 bolts. This is "unit-body construction" as introduced with the '32 Essex-Terraplane.

Thanks for that."Unit-body construction" presumably means the body was of all steel welded construction ie no timber?0
