The motor mount for the Jet are similar but not the same. I had read that they were the same. I have one for a stepdown and have compaired them. The center hole in the stepdown mount is not threaded. It also does not have a centering ring around the hole to keep it centered on the x member. Called Wildricks and talked to them. They are out and will have more made but don't know when. Not much demand for them. They said people were rebuilding the ones they had. People were putting various materials in between the two halves. I can see these halves getting welded together. May have some vibrations but I will be ready to go racing. lol Thanks guys. LHud0

It is not exactly the same , but can be used. I have had a standard rear mount on my Jet for many years. Doesn't need to have a threaded hole, you can use a bolt and nut. There is also a generic mount available, needs slight trim with a hacksaw, but does have a threaded hole.Geoff0

Geoff. I had considered that. The different size of the bolt holes caused me concern. This would allow movement if it worked loose. Getting it centered might be some concern. I will probable try it to see how it will work. Nothing ventured , nothing gained. If you remember the number or name of that generic mount, I would like to know that info. Thanks LHud0

Try Then and Now Automotive, I believe part number 309567 is what you need. I just bought a 1954 Super Jet 2 door on Sunday and will need a mount too. The phone number is: 781-335-8860

Thanks dbarrett. I checked out their web page. Looks like that is what I am looking for. I plan on giving them a call. Noticed they have a exchange policy and that they repair also. Thanks again. LHud0

No problem. I may be able to help out with the water distribution tube, going to look at another Jet this weekend. it's supposed to come with a lot of extra parts, I will let you know if a good tube is available. Thanks, David

Thanks db. There is no hurry. I am taking that engine to the machinist soom. I have it out and apart ready to go. I have a spare engine I bought. I am going to put it in and see what condition it is in. It was was a running twin H engine. I am putting it in with a single carb. to see what condition it is in. I am working on mechanicals mostly. A lot of the side glass is broken or cracked. Will try to post a pic.0

Looks like a very straight car. I have found a couple of Jet parts cars that I may end up buying, so if you need any parts let me know. David

Hey dbarrett. I followed up on the rear motor mount for the Jet. I called Then and Now Auto that your referred me to. I sent them my core and they rebuilt it. Got it back today. I am very satisfied with it. I would recommend their services. They are also reasonable in their pricing. It looks as though it is new. Thanks for the heads up. LHud0

I am glad the mount turned out good, my friend was very happy with their work. I will be sending in my transmission mount soon.
