Hello all - I just recently purchased my first Hudson, a 1950 Commodore 6 Club Coupe and I'm looking to join your community in order to learn more about these awesome cars. I've always wanted a Hudson but the right candidate, and the financial means needed to buy it, never seemed to intersect. Finally, a couple of weeks ago, everything fell into place and I was able to purchase the Club Coupe I drove 12 hours to go pick it up and I was smiling the entire way there and back home. I'm very excited to now have the car and I look forward to making it 'mine.'
I've been tinkering and collecting antique motorcycles and Model A's for close to 20 years but now, at the age of 40, I've decided it was time to step-down to a Hudson. These cars have always appealed to me as a big, classy, car and I plan to use it for the occasional commute to work, family cruises and local car shows/meets. I've got a little bit of work to do in order to get her ready to cruise (clutch, some leaky seals, water pump, etc.) but I'm looking forward to cruising with my wife and two kids in the roomy and quiet Commodore. I'm technically savvy but it's been hard to find information on these cars so I'm looking forward to learning, and someday contributing, to the knowledge that everyone here seems to share so willingly.
I live outside of Charlotte NC with my wife and two small children and I'm always looking to befriend others that like to talk cars, bikes or anything mechanically related.

Also look to the top of the home page... Checkout being a HET member. Good to have a new owner here!0

Welcome to the Hudson Open Forum! Best of luck with your new acquisition!
Bring us all of your questions. No problem in finding information here!
I don't know if you're acquainted with the H-E-T but if not, here's the link to the Club's website: ! http://www.hetclub.org/
The club has many chapters, and one of them -- The Dogwood Chapter -- is located in North Carolina and southern Virginia. At the HET homepage you'll find a listing of chapters with contact information. You could see when the next local meet is, and then drive over and introduce yourself. Whether or not you join a local chapter, it's still good to get out and meet your fellow Hudson owners, you never know when you might need them!0 -
