Wayne from Belen, NM. I'm building a '36 Terraplane 2-door sedan, 283 Chevy, 700R4 trans, (honestly) '76 Toyota pickup cross member, '81 Toyota pickup rear end, '84 Lincoln aluminum wheels with wire spokes, '86 Cavalier R&P steering, '85 S-10 steering column (from a manual trans pickup). Still working on body, need master cylinder, interior, glass.

Greetings, Wayne!  Looks like a nice car!  You've come to the right place.  I'm going to shift your discussion into the "Street Rods" section of our forum because that is where you are going to find the most helpful advice.

Don't forget that there's a market for the original parts you remove.  In fact you can advertise them here at the "Parts and Pieces" section of the classified ads.
