trunk lock cylinder removal

I need to remove the trunk lock cylinder from my 1951 Commodore. No clip on this one.  Thanks, Phil

  • Phil, First  if all is still origional you need to remove the tiny rivet from the bottom of the trunk handle directly under where the lockshaft is positioned. It is VERY small but this is critical to remove. After this is removed, it will reveal a set screw with a recessed hex head . find the right allen head wrench and unscrew this set screw. Once this is done, your lockshaft should slide out from the trunk handle. Bada bing.
