Headliner for 36 Terraplane

Hello I am about to purchase a new headliner for my 36 Terraplane 4 door.  I will be installing it myself.  I have the original bows wood and metal.

First question.  I know the headliner has pockets for the metal bows but for the wooden ones what is the procedure for tacking them on?  Is there tack strips that the cloth wraps around and then tacked to the bow or is there a tab built into the headliner that gets tack on?

Second question.  How to attach the headliner to the sides above the doors?  I have the metal strips that get screwed up there and I assume there should be thin wood that is attached to these metal strips.

Does anyone that has done this have any pictures they can send me.

Thank you

When I had my 36T done the upholster man didnt tell me the wood strips above the doors should be replaced. Not good enough for the many nails if I used 'Nail and Hide'. The headliner is stapled onto these wood pieces. He decided to glue a ribbon around the bottom of the headliner instead of using the vinyl strip that hides the nails. He said the more expensive makes did this but Im not sure if the reason was it was easier for him. Obviously make sure the cables are there for the light. Consider extra insulation for the heat - sticky silver paper type. On my bows and even the 1937T there are large soft particle board type pieces attached. Not sure if  there is something better. Piece of cake. I buy mine from Acme Headliner. They sell to all Distributers. They have patterns & colo for every car built. I went thru JC Whitney for three now and comes with instructions that are very ez to follow. I buy the color match Windlace KIt for doors too. I use DAP Weld Gel Glue on the sides and holds forever. Inst Gel Glue wait few minutes and holds forever. Never done one before...Dtatr in cebter then do sides front back last. I put insulation under roof first.

I have inquired at SMS for a headliner and they are sending me color samples to choose from.  I have also glued sound deadening insulation in the roof.  I still can't figure out the attachment of the headliner to the sides.  I have the metal strips and I can attach wood to them.  Do I wrap the headliner around the bottom of the metal strips then glue it to the back of the wood attached?  How did the factory do it with tacks, you can not tack the headliner from the back and it you do it in the front what hides the tacks?

I have also read that the windlace has to go on first, anyone now how that is attached?

Any Youtube video's I watched does not show anything of value for my application.
