Looking for a hood latch assembly for a 1953 Hornet.

    Mine was missing when I found the car so I am not sure that this is the correct one for my 53 Hornet? I need both the latch and receiver.

    That is the correct part for the lower lock assembly on your 53. If you need the upper half I can help. In any event I would strongly advise to back up your hood latching cable with an auxillary hood release wire( coathanger) If the hood release cable breaks ( and they can be prone to do that) and your hood is shut . It is a royal pain to get the hood to raise up again. (think disassembly)
