Interesting Restoration Photos, some rare Hudsons!

I just discovered these photos of the restoration of two very rare 1932's, which were posted by a restoration (or hot rod?) shop in Wisconsin.  Does anyone know more about any of these cars, like who owns them?

One is listed as a 1932 Essex but it looks more like an Essex Terraplane:  http://hnhrodshop.com/previous-projects/1932-hudson-essex-phaeton/
The other is apparently a '32 Hudson.

This one's listed as a "1932 Hudson Terraplane" but it's in fact a Hudson -- phaeton, that is!  http://hnhrodshop.com/current-projects/1932-hudson-terraplane/,   I believe this may have been the one that was carried out of Nepal many years ago, by a bunch of porters, and shipped to America!  The black and white photo at the top of the page is, I believe, an old photo of the '33 phaeton that was recently restored by Mr. Nitin Dossa of Mumbai, India.  These are the only two existing Hudson phaetons that I know of, from 1932-33.

There's also a third car, a beautiful '35 Hudson convertible coupe that's mis-identified as a '35 Terraplane!  http://hnhrodshop.com/previous-projects/1935-terraplane/

And in fact there's a fourth Hudson product, a '37 Terraplane coupe (click the links at the website, to see it).   Under normal circumstances this would be a show-stopper but in comparison to these other incredibly rare cars it is reduced in importance to "only" being stunning, LOL!

The shop did a much better job restoring these cars than they did in identifying them!

I have one of those 32 Hudson headlights. I thought it was for a 33 Hudson. Thanks for sharing the information and photos.

Jon, you should recognize the phaeton as a French Lick participant. All of these cars belong to the current president of the Hudson Historical Society and his wife. The shop is without question a superior restoration facility whose work is outstanding. BTW, the 37 coupe has deep roots in the HET CLUB, it was formerly owned by Laurel Hansen

The cars in question are owned by Calvin Buchanan in Texas.  The black and white photo is of a 1932 Major LWB Hudson  phaeton that is currently being restored.  It is not Nitin Dossa's car which is a 1933 Phaeton. This car belonged to the Prime Minister of Nepal, picture was taken in 1935 by the royal court photographer and shows the drivers.   The complete history of this car is known.
The restoration shop doing the work does amazing work and takes pains to do the work correctly.

Thank you Ric West IN for the information. It has a unique look that I like. I have it placed on top of my book case. Just notice I need to wipe the dust off it. Lee O'Dell
