The purpose of these was just to bring the hot radiator coolant to the heater core. Not really sure how you would want to change this. Tubes were the same from 51-54. The only mod was a slightly shorter length for the twin H setup. you just use a longer hose . Not really a major factor..

I guessed he was talking about the tube inside the engine , the brass one.

Are you referring to the steel pipe from water pump?

    Ken,

I hope you've installed a manual override button for that Low-Pressure kill switch so Gary can get out of the Freeway center lane or off the RR tracks if necessay. What's the "open circuit" pressure setting of that switch? Hopefully well below hot idle O/P.

I can see that we've wandered 'way off topic here but I'll add that I'm working on a VFF (TM) version that will be a complete new oil pump with an integral spin-on filter base to position the filter upright in a similar location to what you have done in those photos. It will not require any external plumbing, but instead will utilize all of the original passages. The downside is that it would likely be applicable only to engines fitted with headers due to clearance problems with the stock exh. manifolds/pipes. The design is still in here (I'm pointing to my melon).

    In time............

    Frank
