that little spring

it's the smallest stuff that causes the biggest headaches.

The seat adjuster on my 1951 Commodore is missing the very small coil spring that attaches the shaft of the adjuster handle to the seat track. No idea what it should look like. Does anyone have an idea of the basic specs or a source of something compatible?

A lot of retailers sell spring assortments but I am having difficulty figuring out which will have one that will work.

Measure the compressed and extended lengths needed.  Go to your local hardware store. Buy two or three for 90 cents each and use the one that works best.   There is absolutely nothing critical about the function of this spring.
