We warrant each new car manufactured by us to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service, our obligation under this warranty being limited to making good at our factory any part or parts thereof, including all equipment or trade accessories (except tires) supplied by the Car Manufacturer, which shall, within ninety (90) days after making delivery of such vehicle to the original purchaser, or before such vehicle has been driven 4,000 miles,...Today that would be about one oil change. Was this the industry standard at the time? Would think Hudson would have had a better warranty than the others setting them apart.

Pretty standard, but I'm sorry to say that you are past your warranty period.   :(

How about Chicago dealer Jim Moran at Courtesy Motors? He offered a 100,000 mile warranty on the Hudson engines. It's no wonder he sold 5% of the Hudson fleet.

Thanks, I hadn't heard about Jim Moran's warranty. I was just curious if anyone capitalized on the quality factor. Sounds like at least one dealer did. Maybe if the company had put more emphasis on it.........

They couldn't make anything because Moran sold so cheap. He was the guy who convinced Hudson to build a car that looked like a Ford which he claimed would sell like hotcakes. Hudson did and we all know what happened after they made the Jet. Oh and after Hudson went and merged with Nash guess what? Moran gets a Ford dealership which he wanted the whole time.

Oh, I guess that's why he didn't get invited to speak at any National meets. He also had offered the tail fin dealer option for the 54 Hudson as I recall. I did a google search on him and looks like he was very ambitious in the auto industry and life in general!
