Stepdown tie rod ends

Ken Cate's excellent website -hudsonrestoration1948-54.com- suggests that 46-47 Ford tie rod ends are interchangeable with Hudson. My Hollander interchange book suggests the same thing in a rather round about way through Mercury and Lincoln part numbers.  Has anyone tried this? I can get Ford rod ends more or less for the asking, but I don't want to burn a favor if they don't work.

I have exactly what you need in the boxes brand new. I had pics of them on here last week,,,(Parts), but I had the moderator take them off.  Let me know if you want then....dnault@Austin.rr.com.I think I was asking $85.00 for the four of them, and shipping these days is not cheap.. They are heavy.
