vapour lock

Ken,
I'm curious about your selection for return-line routing. I have changed to a driver's side fuel line (supply circuit) path on some cars to avoid exhaust system heat......was that your thinking here?

Ken, I am wondering about the diameter of your water pump pulley. The pulley I was running was 6-3/8" and because I was running hot at lower speeds I changed to a 5" diameter pulley and now I am running at thermostat control temp--160 with a/c on, but it hasn't gotten to 95+ outside here yet?
All the difference in the world with 28% increase in water flow. I think the stock flow rate was based on a 5" pulley and wonder if someone has a stock WP pulley much larger than that.
Hopefully I am on the tail end of post subject comments; But hadn't seen a front photo of your engine. Nevertheless, a cooler engine compartment will definitely help with vapor lock.
What I was running on left, and 5" on right>>0 -
Thanks for the tips,...020" seems pretty small, although I guess the trick is to allow as much fuel to return to the tank while still allowing enough pressure and volume at the carbs? In our neck of the woods we call hit 40 deg C in the summer months which affects my 308 in the form of vapour lock rather than overheating issues.0
