Autowire installation

I'd use original switch and start button. autowire kits are pretty forgiving. I don't like the generic ign. switches that are sent with the kits. They stick out like a sore thumb and eventually start turning as u turn it on the turn to start position. Wouldn't uglify Hudson dash with one.Just my opinion.Kim0

I agree with Kim. As a matter of fact, I'm real anti-GM headlight switch, too, as they tend to burn up within a couple of years. Using the original rotary type switch, I've never had that problem, but it's a little more difficult to wire in.0

Okay, I started out trying to use the Autowire ignition and last night it quit working. I'm going to attempt to use the original ignition and headlight switches in lieu of the Autowire materials. In doing so, I'm thinking I can wire in the Mega Circuit breaker from Autowire and ignore the original circuit breaker. If anyone who has any advice regarding any pitfalls that I may need to avoid in wiring the old switches into the fuse box it will be greatly appreciated.0
