Heater motor conversion
Any of you guys ever had a 6 volt heater motor converted to 12 volts? I purchased a voltage reducer for the heater to my 48 when I converted it to 12 volts years ago. I'm afraid to turn on the thing for long periods of time because the ceramic reducer gets so hot. Just wondering if there is a better way....

Thanks Ken. I appreciate all your help.0

Jason, please let me know how that motor works out. If good, I can add it to my 12v conversion notes.
P.S. You can expect that the blower speed switch/knob may not work very well, as the 12v motor probably draws less current than the original.

Park,I'm a little put out that this product cannot be picked up the store, but requires that I pay $13.00 for shipping, plus tax. Since I usually just use the air from the vent as the main source of forced heated air, I don't think its worth all that. At this point, I'll either put a reducer on it or just not use the heater motor at all.0

I didn't have a problem picking up a product from OReilly's before either. Which is why this ticks me off. How about trying to see if they tell you the same thing about this particular product.0

I did a quick search on ebay and found the 4 seasons part number 35576 listed alongside PM354. Can anybody post a picture of the factory blower compared to the PM354?

So I wonder why the website told me that the store pickup option was not available. I'm in NC. Does that make a difference do you think? I will get one if I don't have to pay the shipping costs.0

Just tried it again by going to the website posted above. Still says that in store pickup is not available.0

I didn't go into the store in person. I tried to order it online. I'll try to order it from the store when one of the guys I like is working.0
