Need Hydramatic starter for 53

Starting a new thread. It looks like the 12 volt starter I had from a 56 308 will not work in a 53 because it is 1/2 inch shorter. Anyone have one they will sell to a guy in Germany. He is desperate and understands shipping is expensive. He will pay with credit card or Paypal.

    Ken, Yep looks like he's wanting one of the ones I have. He's checking to see who he can get to rewind it into 12 volts locally in Germany. All the parts I have are all origional 6 volt . I don't stock anything past 1954 .

    Well Ken, It appears that I have had the same response you did. I emailed Herr Krieg and he said he was going to check out where he could get the 6 volt starter I had rebuilt to 12 volts..... I'm still waiting for a response..
