auto circuit breaker

I am going to go ahead and install relays for the headlights on my 35T. I was thinking of installing a 40 amp.circuit breaker between the starter solenoid and the relays. Do I need to find a 6 volt one or will a 12 volt one work?
Thanks,
Mike

Amps is amps; voltage no problem.

Depending on what sort of relay you fit, some have inbuilt fuses, but with a circuit breaker, you have protection against a short between the solenoid and relay.0
