Interesting distr find.

I was doing a Jeep F134 4cyl EFI conversion and picked up the distr to convert to electronic for the timing control.

When I pulled it out of the box a light bulb went off.

Most of the dimensions are the same except the shaft is about 1/2" longer.

So it may be an option to  turn the center of the shaft down in dia to clear the cam and then just use a 1/2" spacer under the base.

Of course it's probably just as easy to weld up the slot drive tooth and then remachine it for a tighter fit.

I have several shafts with very worn drive ends on them that allow a lot of timing slop.
