Hood Alignment, 53 Hudson

Do you have the springs attached? The springs should yank the hood forward so that you have plenty of space at the cowl. Usually the trouble is getting it pushed back, as you have to use a power ram or hydraulic cylinder due to the strength of the springs.0

Is it binding when you try to open the hood? If so, you may need an additional piece of welting at the firewall to keep the hood from settling down too far. This piece was installed at the factory and is only about a foot long and goes under the length that runs side to side.0

All, the springs are attached however the hood will not seat on the cowl? It binds when I try to close the hood.
o Are the hood springs the same on all step-downs?
o Any picture would help
