Gaslight Garage, Holbrook, NY

Have to post a shout out about the great work Charlie Salvato did on my 30 Hudson.  Took the car up to him last September and wanted him to get it running.  Had been screwing around down here for 2 years trying to get it running and found Charlie from someone on the forum.  What a gem!  He is not only a nice guy, but very knowledgeable and did a great job.  Fixed the heat exchanger, brakes, got all the gauges working, fixed the tank and a ton of other stuff.  To boot, after I got home and some bugs popped up, he took care of them for me.  It was a 4 1/2 hour drive to get the car to him and absolutely the best time spent.  I learned a long time ago it's better to pay someone who knows what they are doing and get it done right, and Charlie is the best.  Well worth the drive and money spent.  Anyone who has a Hudson (or any classic) in the north east states, don't hesitate to take your car to him.  You won't regret it.

Is Charlie's shop still in Sayville? Or did he move it closer to Holbrook? I haven't seen him in , I bet 24 years. He is truly a great guy. We lost contact when I moved to Arizona. We were both members of the Long Island Seashore Chapter.
