1947 Hudson Super Six carburetor adjustment?
Hello,
My father and I checked the carburetor on his 47 Super Six. After some reassembly and adjustment, the car starts again nicely, and sounds good when we rev the engine. However, when we drive it, the engine sputters and the car has no power. It must be some adjustment on the carburetor (the two adjustment screws on the front base) but regardless of how I try to adjust, the car behaves the same.
What could be the problem?

Metering rods or fuel restrictions the carb0

The two adjustment screws on the front are idle mixture only and have nothing to do with high(er) speed performance. A flow volume/pressure test on the fuel pump may reveal a clue as well.
