locked trunk stepdown

When I tried to open the trunk to day the key just turns around very easy and nothing happens. Seems that somethings broken or loose. Any ideas what to do?

 I found a small screw under the lock, loose it and take the lock out and put in a screwdriver and turn around, open! A small metalbar that connect the lock to the lockmechanism had fallen of.

With a stepdown (you did not say what your car is) you can remove the back seat and gain access to the trunk.
