Interestingly enough, I found out that the 40s arm rests were an option, maybe dealer installed.  I had to make them for my Model 44 coupe, and borrow the mounting steel angles from a 46/47 as there was no mounting hardware either.

If you could post a picture,I checked the parts manual and it looks like every year was different,I have a few to check,not sure what year they are. Maybe someone can let us know if they where interchangeable,part numbers in manual are for different colors.
