Stepdown shifter rod trunnions
Anyone know where these can be purchased new? I know some other makes used them. The trunnion is
made so the 3/8" rod can go thru it then the "I" goes thru the shifting linkage bushing and is kept in place by
a cotter key. A stop nut is used on both sides to keep the trunnion in position. I've re-used several by welding up
the groove cut into the arm by use, then grinding smooth.
The picture is one made for a 70-72 Ponitac.
