check near or on brake master cylinder. Usually there, at least in later stepdowns. Looks like a little screw-in knob with two wire tabs0

Thanks on the older models don't have that on them0

You could fit a new one on the master cylinder, or see if there is an existing switch along the pipeline. On my 36T I have a brake switch in the pipeline near the rear wheel. Finding it or installing a new one would have to be the easiest job to do when restoring a car. I wish all my problems could be so simple Barry0
