Here are some pics of My 35 Hudson 8 coupe at a recent Car show Held in Dunedin NewZealand.  Some of you may remember Geoff Clark doing an article on it for the white Triangle News.  At that time it was painted black.  It is currently undergoing major body work.  It is shown here in bare metal and was being used by a media blaster as a demonstration of his capabilities.  Interestingly this blaster uses a process of media and water and gets no distortion to the metal.  The metal does not rust either he uses a rust inhibitor in the water.  The fenders have been done for three months and show no sign of rusting.  Before blasting the body showed no sign of rust however after blasting there were quite a few old and very poor repairs revealed particularly the doors which have now had the bottom third replaced.

  • When your car was headed back to you, after Geoff had worked on it, a mate snapped some pics of it in Christchurch. He came and showed me, excited about how cool the front end was. It's definitely looking much nicer, the blasting sounds interesting.
  • The metal work looks excellent, will be a fine looking car when it's done.

    Hi there.

Thanks for the comments it will be a pretty special car when its finished. hopefully in the next year or so.  I think some one showed Geoff some pics he had taken as well. Geoff was able to tell him it had just left his place.

I am very impressed with the blasting it is my understanding that the blaster got quite a bit of work after the car show so that was good
