I have a 1949 coupe with a rusty trunk floor,i also have a 1949 sedan parts car that is rust free from texas. the rusty area on the coupe is the flat area only below the rear window to the back edge of the body. are the coupe and sedan trunk floors the same so I can switch the trunk floor? thanks

I am only guessing but I would bet they are the same. I can't imagine why not. Some early models had a problem with the floor cracking where the tank straps attach at the front. Don't be surprised if you see a flat strap steel re-enforcing inside front. This was a factory "authorized repair". That sharp bend must have caused a very thin area during the stamping process.0

Dave is right. They are the same. Only difference is where the rear bulkhead wall begins. Floor is same for all stepdowns. The only minor difference is the convertible where the wheel well are flattened a bit to allow for the collapsed top to rest.0

There is another difference in the rear trunk floor though. That is the spare tire well. 48-51 flat floor. 52-54 a right side wheel well. Trunk floor however remains the same.0
