A Hudson drove past.....

....my house five minutes ago. I think it may have been Leon, from Dunedin. It was early twenties, red body, with black fenders, Brown wood wheels, and a Luggage rack. By the time I got out the driveway, it was at the other end of the block. Any kiwis know if theres a national meet on, or who it would be? I'm supposed to be heading out this arvo, but now I'm all excited, and hoping they may come back. I'll stick around, and see what happens.

    The NZ HET Club had it's AGM in Blenheim last weekend.About 25 HET products from a 1919 Essex 4 to a 53 H Stepdown & 54 Jet but mostly concentrated in 20's & 30's.
Geoff Clark was leading an after AGM trip down the West Coast from Monday to Thursday - may have been one of those guys. Leon was there in his 22 Essex 4 Tourer.
  • Just got a call, to say it's Leon, and they are going to call in. I'll post a few pics if they do.
  • Woo hoo, I just went for a ride in Leons Essex. Beautiful day here, so I took a few vids, then some pics up my drive, and then suffered a flat phone battery, so only got four pics. Probably a Good thing, otherwise I'd have taken many more.

Thanks for the info. I was having a bad car day, I've lost parts off my front brakes on the 29, and spent more time searching the shed today, but still can't find em. Leon turning up, was a very welcome distraction.

Glad you saw Leon. His Essex 4 is one lovely car. Sadly I could not make this year's AGM. It sounded a great weekend.
