Hornet compression with different heads

I have seen a discussion on putting different heads on a 308, but I can't find it. What are the compression results of putting a 262 or 232 head on a Hornet block? We'll pretend for a second that the engine is healthy enough , and it has an infinitely strong head gasket. How does the math work out?

My 308 has a 262 head on it. My uncle said it increased the compression another 0.5-to-1, and added 10 horsepower, but I have NO idea if any of that is true.I also read that 232 heads were put on the original 7X engines...0

FYI
Im no expert either, but never put a stock 232 Head on a 308. The 232 Head installed on the rare Factory 7x Motors had a special designed combustion chamber to help breathing (flow) with that higher compression.head. However as mentioned, a stock 262 head is Ideal to use for little more power..
