1946 Hood Ornaments

I've seen a website that shows several different style hood ornaments for the 1946 Hudson. But I've only seen one type of ornament on the 46 cars. Were different ornaments used on different models in 46, or is the website wrong? Thanks for any insight you can provide.

Thanks, UJ! Much appreciated. Actually, I was thinking of the hood ornament not the medallions. The ornament I've seen on 46 cars is shaped kind of like a spear or rod with some vertical stripes on the sides but the other one I have never seen on a car is more rounded and bigger at the front, almost like a '38 Olds type.

And I know that there is a clear plastic part that wraps around the hood ornament that was on the upper models.

Thanks LB! That is the one I've always seen on the 46s. Do you know if some also came with the other "bomb" style ornament I described earlier or was that an aftermarket piece made for any vehicle?

I have seen listings on E-Bay for 1946 Hudson hood ornaments that are actually 1948 or later Hudson hood ornaments.  I am wondering if this is an example of what you are asking about:

Yes, that is exactly what I have seen listed as a 46. Do you know the year that was used? Was it 48? Thanks Steve!

After some searching it looks to me like that hood ornament was used on the '49 Super Six. Thanks for your help!
