If you have power brakes, use the vacuum tank as a source and it will help your wiper problem.

thanks old farmer I do have power brakes. Do you know where about.s to hook in the hose to vac wiper motor.   Ray

Another suggestion is often made,  to mount a vacuum reserve tank in the car somewhere.  Supposedly that will help smooth out the little vacuum deficits that happen when you suddenly accelerate.  But it won't help on long hills, because it eventually runs out of vacuum.
