Hi Jon Thanks for your note of concern. Although the Kaikoura area has been badly affected I have not heard of any members affected. I have cousins just north of Kaikoura and the homestead on the farm has lost all chimneys plus other damage. We are far enough away to have just felt it but not suffered any damage.0

Sitting on my wheeled office chair at my computer at midnight, the quake caused a bit of Rock 'n' Roll of the unpleasant type. But apart from a few cupboard doors swinging open, no problems, unlike many in the centre of the South Island
Thanks for thinking of us.

That's a relief! Anyone heard from Geoff? He's up near Nelson, seemingly a safe distance from the epicenter.

Spoke to Geoff a day or so ago and all is fine with them. He is busy getting 28/29 castings organised before our man shuts up shop!0

Thanks Jon. I'm on the West of South Island, and while we felt it real good, there was no damage, due to the rolling nature of it. Glad it wasn't the jolt type. After checking the girls, I was out to check shed, everything was where it should be.0
