I am looking for information on reconstruction of the roof of my '27 Essex coach. What is left of the roof is dry rotted and I would like to replace it as original. keithj516

    Welcome to the Open Forum, Keith.  In what area are you located?  There is a slim possibility that one of our forum members -- or a Hudson club member -- who has restored a '27, lives in your vicinity.  You might then be able to visit that person and get some pointers firsthand.

    Although a bit premature, Here's a source for the roof insert material for coupes or sedans. I hope this is useful to you....and, I hope I did the link thing correctly. Sedan version shown, coupe is a little less $.

    When I did the '26 E delivery van MACs supplied what was needed. Very efficient delivery to NZ
