1938 Hudson , bright work

I would like a history lesson on bright work ( Chrome ) ! For everyone that calls it that . In the 30s cars had a different image , an the small bright pieces added a lot to the body lines of each model . Each year of the Terraplanes had different parts . So I'm seeking all an any info for the 1938 model 81 . All you ole timers that have that info stored away , it's time to let the flood gates open ! An I'm not going away , just getting started. , thanks ahead of time to each an every one who responds !

Kind of a general question.  Precisely what do you need to know?  Are you missing all the chrome trim on your car?

Have you tried simply googling "1938 Terraplane", then selecting "images", and looking at the pictures?

Yes, I have looked, but most of the car images I see are model 112 s . Very few pics of the model 81 . Mainly interested in the front end . I've seen pics of what is said to be a 38 with chrome trim on the horizontal lines of the grill but then again they have teardrop head lamps ? Just trying to get the car that I bought figured out ! I looked to the site for help is all , thanks

Here's a photo of one:



Up-front chrome would include the hood center hinge, the windshield divider and extension on the flip-up vent, the wiper stanchions, the hood ornament, the chromed vertical trim at the center of the grille, the side hood vent trim, and the bumpers.  Chromed options would include the outside-mounted horns.  You can see the thin chrome or stainless trim around the headlights. This would be what the real headlights look like.  The fender lights are an option, but they have no chrome, apparently.  The "Super" Terraplane (model 82?) would probably have come with chrome ornaments on the front the the front fenders, near the bottom.
